THE RAMEN DREAM!

After quitting his full-time corporate job as a Financial Analyst in early 2019, Chef/Owner Vinh Thai had a once in a lifetime opportunity to train under Keizo Shimamoto of Ramen Shack USA in New York City.

After completing the training, he came back to Austin and started doing ramen pop-ups to share his passion and love for ramen with ramen fans in Austin. The pop-ups quickly became sold-out events. In 2020, Austin Monthly Magazine voted Ramen512 as "Best Pop-Up of ATX".

Shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic began, Ramen512 started doing takeout ramen out of a ghost kitchen to continue to serve its loyal customers. Six months later, Chef Vinh decided it's time to open a brick and mortar ramen shop.

In October 2021, Chef Vinh's ramen dream became a reality as Ramen512 brick and mortar shop came to life. Ramen512 was voted one of the best new restaurants of 2022 by Austin Monthly and Infatuation ATX.
